Behold now in all things, in universal application, greater efficiency ever extolled! Extending then beyond historically initial and sensible context of corporate productivity, with such enthusiasm into every walk of life, and indeed into maximizing any actual ongoing benefit for any individual person, what due calculus of greater efficiency then actually obtains in striving to precisely what end value? Indeed, in  due salient analysis bearing in mind individual happiness, does all idle hedonism and reflection only remain so profligate and effete? So worthy only of Moralistic scorn on the part of our betters?

     

In the immortal observations of George Carlin: “Most people work just hard enough not to get fired and get paid just enough money not to quit."
